Transforming Undergraduate Education in Engineering (TUEE)

“With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) has launched a multi-phase, multi-year sequence of meetings with different stakeholders to transform the undergraduate engineering experience. Transforming Undergraduate Education in Engineering (TUEE) is designed to develop a clear understanding of the knowledge, skills, and abilities next generation engineering graduates should possess and the changes in curricula, pedagogy, and academic culture that will be needed to instill those qualities.” — American Society for Engineering Education

For the Erik Jonsson School Of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, close collaboration with industry has been in place from its very start in 1986. We have worked to create pathways for transfer students from our community college partners through strong articulation agreements and back-transfer programs. The Dallas Area TUEE Alliance is a group of academic institutions and industrial partners that have been working to consider, evaluate and realize the findings of the ASEE TUEE initiative and share our experience with all those interested in engineering education. Note: The Dallas Area TUEE Alliance replaces the North Texas TUEE Collaboratory.
